Freshmen are not
always the only new faces at Greenville High School.
One of the three new principals this year is Mr. Albin.
While Principal
Albin may be new at GHS, he already feels at home.
His impression of GHS is, "A great group of young people!
Some of the nicest kids that I have been around!"
Albin's goals
for GHS this school year include upping the attendance
rate to 95 percent and to "cut down any classroom
disruptions to allow teachers to teach."
Albin plans to
achieve this goal by creating a safe and orderly campus
conducive to learning. "I want a safe, orderly
environment," said Albin, "that will allow students the
opportunity to receive a quality education to prepare them
for college."
"My proudest
moment in education so far was helping a student get her
U.S. Citizenship," said Albin.
Mr. Albin earned
his B.S. at Sterling College in Kansas and his M.S. and
Superintendent Certificate at the University of Texas at
Tyler.
Albin thinks of
himself as a "firm, but fair" principal and always
"approachable and student-friendly."
"I love seeing
the light bulb go on with students and helping them to
achieve more than they ever thought possible," said Albin.
