Impact mentors announced

On August 29th, the impact mentors for freshman students were announced.

The are LaPorschea Allen, Latia Anderson, Bennie Barrett, Courtney Barrett, Kalen Blackely, Greg Bond, Mary Calderilla, Lauren Carter, Nick Conwell, Blake Davis, Gray Donnie, Nicole Eller, Alex Esqueda, Derek Franklin, Leticia Gamez, Victor Gonzalez, Micah Hammack, Perla Herrera, Alison Hickman, Taylor Hise, Don Hune, Nick Jenkins, Jesse Jernigan, Shelly Johnson, Da'vette Jones, Crystal Kellogg, Jill Landrum, Justin Lockridge, Isaac Martinez, Jose Martinez, Garrett Moore, Kyle Moore, Karlie Moyer, Edward Palmer, Daniel Parker, Brandy Pearson, Kristen Perkins, Caroline Poe, Chuck Ringer, Diana Rios, Kyle Risien, Blanca Saavedra, Jennifer Salinas, Hector Sanchez, Monica Sanchez, Nathan Smith, Sarah Staes, Jason Stephenson, Jacob Stuart, Trent Tennison, Chelsea Tharp, Lauren Tharp, Alma Vargas, Anequia Wafer, Andrea Warren, Nathan Wilhelm, Jessica Williams, Lashondra Williams, Tim Woods, and Becky Wyatt.

Impact mentors are responsible for a group of freshmen.  They keep up with the students' grades and their activities.  The students had to fill out an application and be recommended by a teacher or other authority to become a mentor.  Mrs. Hansen then chose the top students from the ones that applied.  Out of the many students that applied, 60 were chosen to become mentors.

The first meeting was held on Wednesday, September 7th.  They discussed how to raise money for the organization and nominated the elective council.
