Thirty-three high-achieving students from Greenville High School, earning one of the district's top honors for secondary students, were on Wednesday named "Superintendent Scholars" for the 2009-2010 school year.

Greenville ISD Superintendent Don Jefferies on Wednesday honored the students, grades 9-12, and their parents at a luncheon and awards presentation at the Fletcher Warren Civic Center.

The scholars program honors the top academic achievers at GHS each year.  Students honored Wednesday were those who achieved scholar status both semesters during the school year.

Seniors honored included Cal Crabtree, Morgan Driggers, Connor Horton, Meghan Litchfield, Mark Mahrer, Angelica Olivarez and Steffen Villarma.
